CAARC is a Non-profit public organization and operated to promote education for persons interested in communications and to train communicators for public service and emergency communications.

CAARC also encourages  experiments in electronics and promotes the highest standards of practice and ethics in conduct of communications. To provide a forum for Amateurs to congregate and exchange ideas and information.

CAARC to own and operate an amateur radio repeater system for the use and enjoyment of its members who are licensed radio amateurs; To be a bona-fide amateur radio society within the meaning of Part 97 of Title 47 of The Code of Federal Regulations, as amended from time to time.
 

 

 

 

      
 The CAARC Weekly Net Meets on Thursdays, 7:30 PM.
Chanute Area Amateur Radio Club hosts a weekly club information net that meets Thursday nights at 7:30 PM, except the 4th Thursday which is club meeting night, on the Chanute Area  Amateur Radio Club repeater. The purpose of the net is to further the general knowledge of the local ham community, to bring local hams together through the use of the Radio Central club repeater, and to talk about any subject that is of interest to the group. All licensed hams, club members and non members alike, are welcome to check in and join the group. The general public can program the repeater into their scanners, the frequency is 146.745.
